5-Minute Makeup Look

I've gotta say, I'm that person that's either (if I'm lucky) right on time or five minutes late, which is why I'm always in a rush! Even though I like to think I give myself enough time to get ready most days, I always end up second-guessing my outfit, or messing up my eyeliner and having to redo it about 20 more times until I get it right... It's always something that's holding me up.
So for days when I'm in a rush  and have no time to get ready but just can't leave the house without putting something on my face, this is the makeup look I go for. It just makes me look put-together rather than the mess that I actually am.

Let's break it down:

Brows: I think we can all agree that brows are a big part of looking put-together, which is why this is my first step for every makeup look. Late or not, the brows have to be on point, haha. So for that, I use the Bourjois Sourcil eyebrow pencil, my shade is 07 Noisette. I just fill in my eyebrows with a light hand using this pencil, then brush my brows out with a clean spoolie brush. I've tried lots of eyebrow pencils but this one is perfect for me! It's just the right shade for my eyebrows and makes them look really natural. To secure the little brow hairs in place, I use the Essence Lash & Brow gel mascara. I sometimes skip the gel mascara but it does add a little something to your brows and help them stay put all day.

Eyes: Personally, I feel like when you're in a rush, mascara is your best friend! First, curl your eyelashes, it's what makes it look even better. I don't even know what brand this eyelash curler is, but it does the job. Then I apply a coat from the Maybelline Falsies mascara. So many people love this mascara, and I must say, I do too! If you have some extra time, you can apply a highlighter in the inner corner of your eyes, which helps your eyes look bigger and more awake.

Face: This concealer. I can't express my love for it enough. The NYX HD concealer is such a good one! One of my favorites even. I use this on some of my pimples and around my nose and mouth to take away the redness from my face and even the complexion out. It has the perfect coverage without making my face look too cakey, and it blends out really well. It's HD, which makes it look good in pictures. Plus, it's cruelty-free. Doesn't get much better than this.

Lips: The last thing I do is apply some lipstick. This time I opted for this Clarins Joli Rouge in the shade 723 Raspberry (which really does smell like raspberries). Today was the first time I've properly used it and if I'm being honest, this lipstick isn't one of my favorites, I just liked the colour of it. It's not that opaque and it wears off quickly. However, because of that pop of hot pink, when you apply it, it pulls the look together, making it look like you took more time to get ready than you actually did.

So here is the completed look on me, yes I do realise I apply lipstick like a 9-year-old.. Baby steps, you guys. Haha, no but really, I promise I know how to put on lipstick but this was just a quick look to show you guys how it turned out.

Whoop, and you're all ready to walk out the door! Most days when I go out to run errands, I don't even put any makeup on, but this is for when I wanna sort of dress up but don't have the time for it.

Lorac Pro Palette

I'm probably really late on posting about this palette, but I figured better late than never, eh? First things first, I'd like to point out that I do have oily eyelids and that even eyeliner smudges on my eyelids after a long day if I don't prime my eyelids, but these eye shadows from the Lorac Pro Palette are so good, they don't budge! They stay pigmented throughout the whole day and that's what I love most about them. The shades are also perfect for me, since I'm really into nudes and this palette has some great choices.

If you can't tell by the distorted packaging, this palette has been well-loved. Luckily, I still haven't hit pan on any of the eye shadows though, phew!

Here are the shades in the Lorac palette. The top row consists of matte shades and the bottom one consists of shimmery shades, which surprisingly, I don't hate, haha.

I like to use Champagne as an inner-corner and brow bone highlight, Taupe as a transition shade and I love adding Light Bronze to some looks to add a bit of glam to the look.

Do you own this palette? What's your favorite eye shadow palette?

Also, if you want to see an eye makeup look using this palette, let me know in the comments down below. Thanks for reading loves  x

I'm Back!

10/26/2015 9
Let me just put this out there, I feel like it's been forever since I've been on this blog, which it probably has. Life has been super busy these past couple of months, including school and studying for my GCSEs and all that (which is a mess, may I add), but I finally have a month-long vacation! Woohoo!

So currently, it's 6 am. You might think that I'm an early-riser and just woke up, but actually, I haven't even gone to bed yet. My sleeping pattern is pretty messed up, I know, but let's ignore that. So as I was going through my YouTube subscriptions, I remembered that I had this blog that I used to be obsessed with once, which got me thinking, why not start it up again? Which is why I'm here. I'm back! Expect some posts coming your way soon... Beauty, lifestyle, and a bit of fashion here and there. Wee, I'm so ready for this, let's do it!

Don't forget to stay tuned, and if you have any ideas for future blogposts that you'd want to see, let me know in the comments down below! Thanks for reading! x
